Will It Be Possible To Live Forever?

Everyone must be wondering, will it be possible to live forever?  Of course not. There are many reasons that can support my answer.

God already set our age. In holy book, god already told us about age and life. We can’t live forever because god already arrange when we will die. So we will definitely die.

We will age. It’s for sure that we will die. When we got old our body can’t resist disease and many factors that can cause death. Even with doctors suggestions and applying healthy lifestyle we cannot live forever.

Doomsday will come. God already arrange when will it come and nobody knows. All living things will die in doomsday and nobody can survive it. So there’s no way people can live forever.

Considering my reasons, there’s no way people can live forever. Eventually all living things will die.

Will there be schools and teachers in the future?

Will there be schools and teachers in the future?
To answer the question above I’ll definitely say no. because we people already know that at this moment of time, technology already became a big part of almost every human’s lives. For example, people already invented E-books. E-books are a device that replaces books with a mini laptop with no keyboard. The purpose of inventing an E-book is for using less paper for books and to safe the trees for human’s future. It has proved that in the future there might be a bookstore where they sells E-books that contains all of school textbook any students will ever needed.
And as for schools? I’d say there won’t be any schools in the future. Because as I said before the technology will rule the world in the future. So student, or shall I say youngsters, because there won’t be any schools in the future so there will be no students left in the world, will study trough the internet. And since the technology will be so accurate, so the computers will teach the youngsters what the needed to learn.
As the conclusion, I’d say that technology will take over the world and there will no schools or teachers or even books left.

Will it be possible to live forever?

We know that everyone definitely want to live forever in this world. They use every way to get a long life so they can live forever in this world.
Doctors say that applying healthy life in a real life is the best choice to get a long life like do the sport activities every morning before go to work or school, sleep well, don’t get stress out, eat more fruits and vegetables, and drink more vitamin supplement syrup and milk. If we applying healthy life in a real life, we can get a healthy long life and maybe we can live forever in this world.
But, in other hand, we know that someday doomsday definitely will come to us and destroy everything in the world. The world will stop spinning around and people would be die. Only God who knows how long is our life, how-where-when we die, and when the doomsday come to us. We can deny it. We can’t live forever in this world.
To conclude, until now, I still don’t know will it be possible to us to live forever. Maybe yes or maybe no. Only God who knows that. I believe that God have an other good plan for us. The best way for us is keep praying, wish God always gives us the best.

An image of Labsky Students

A report by M. Arkandiptyo XB 23

Labschool Kebayoran Senior High School or more popularly known as "Labsky" is the high school where I am currently studying. In this report which is also a writing assignment for English subject, I interviewed six of my friends in my class, X-B to ask them about their lifestyles and point of view about their current lives in high school. The interviews are done directly (orally) face to face with my friends.

The topics I covered in this report about their lifestyles are about their hobbies, their point of views about music and Indonesian culture, and also their goals in high school. As for the aim of this report is to give a picture about the lifestyles and thoughts of Labsky students.

Hobby
Fifty percent of my friends or three out of six answered that online gaming is their hobby to kill their time and for relaxation whilst two other stated that their hobbies are linked to musical activities such as singing, playing the guitar or the piano mainly because it is fun and that they can also express their feelings through it. The last one said that her hobby is sleeping. Based on this result, I could say that online gaming and music are the hobbies most Labsky students do to fill their time, for relaxation, and for fun.

Music
Much different from my question about hobby, in this point of interviews, all my friends posed different answers when I asked them about the genre of music they most liked, there were six answers which were acoustic, electronic, alternative fusion, K-Pop (Korean pop), funk, and fusion jazz. From these answers, I conclude that nowadays Labsky students have different and diverse tastes of music.

Culture
In this section of my interviews, I asked my friends three questions; which culture do they prefer and admire, Indonesian, Western, Korean, Japanese or else, and why do they prefer the culture. The last question asked them how do they appreciate the culture they most admire. The first question got a uniform answer - all of my friends liked their own culture - Indonesian culture over all other cultures in the world. All of them answered they loved their own culture because it is the one that is most familiar to them and also as a part of the Indonesian nation, they feel they have to love their own culture at most over all other cultures.

Sadly, four of them answered that they appreciate the Indonesian culture only as an enthusiastic audience to the culture, they don't have an urge to study or learn further about the beautiful culture Indonesia have. One of them answered he was only interested in the history and development of the Indonesian arts, and one of them stated that he was truly inspired and interested in learning more about Indonesian culture, particularly about Indonesian music.

Based on the results, I can say that although many Labsky students love Indonesian culture, only a few of them have the urge and interest in learning more about their own culture and preserving it through actions.

Priority in High School
This last part of my interviews, I asked my friends about their highest priority of activities in high school and why do they chose it. This time I got three answers in which all three answers were equally represented by each two persons.

The first third answered that studying to get through to their favorite universities is their priority in high school so that they can enter the universities they wanted as a good base for their future careers. The second third said that getting along with friends and trying new things to have more life experiences and  freedom are their highest priority in high school based on the old saying their parents said that a good time in high school are for those who dedicate their time for freedom, friends, love, and trying new things. While the last third stated in which their main priority in high school is to explore their talent and potentials such as music and sports because until the moment they haven't decided clearly yet what will they do for their career and future.

This responds broke that the myth in which was said that most, if not all high school students prioritize their time in high school for freedom and friends. In fact, the answer is various.

From all the aspects in this report, I thought that the most surprising is about their music taste and priority in high school, from what I observe in real life about our music taste, I thought I would end up in my survey saying that Kpop (mostly from girls), Metal (mostly from boys), and Hip-hop are three of the most liked genre of music. But in the end all of my friends answered differently, and only Kpop from my previous prediction goes as an answer. About their priority in high school it is also surprising to find that there were three equally represented point of views about this. At first I thought there would only be two answers, the first one is studying for university entrance which would be the minority answer and the second that would be the majority answer which is to trying new things and getting along with friends. In the end the facts talked much differently.

As a conclusion, I would say that nowadays the lifestyle and trend of Labsky students are really diverse and unique, in which none pose a same answer, even though there were some majority voice in some points of their teenage lives and thoughts it only showed up in few points such as their thoughts about Indonesian culture and their hobbies, the rest are made of really different answers. This proved that teenagers nowadays doesn't have a one strong trending lifestyle to follow. This result in a really heterogeneous, unique, and probably and hopefully more creative generation of high school students.

IMAGES OF INDONESIA

The aim of this report is to present what is popular in Indonesian teenagers life.  I interviewed several people from my class by blackberry messenger. And the questions are about music, food, and gadgets.

Music
Based on the interview, most of the teenagers listen to the music almost every time. Most of them also liked pop music. They listened to western pop song more often than listening to Indonesian pop song. The reason why the like western music more is because Indonesian music revolves around only love song.

Food
From the interview, most of the teenagers prefer to eat Indonesian food more than western food. Because Indonesian food are more tempting comparing to western food who doesn’t really have the rich flavor and spices like Indonesian food. And most of them also cannot cook Indonesian traditional food because of the difficulty.

Gadget
Most teenagers in Indonesia owns their own hand phone, Laptop, and an Mp3 player. Usually they use Blackberry phone, and an iPod as an Mp3 player.

So, the conclusions of the report above is that Indonesian teenagers prefer listening to western pop music than any kind of Indonesian music. But Indonesian teenagers would choose Indonesian traditional food over western food. And for gadgets, Indonesian teenagers choose a very modern age gadgets than any kind of old gadgets.
