An Email (English In Mind Assignment Page 39 Unit 5)

Hello!

I'm writing from an internet cafe at Orchard Road, Singapore. I arrived here two days ago. I think it's a real pity you couldn't come with me. There are some awesome tourism in here, you'd love it.

I've had a great fun most of the time. It's sunshine all day. On the first day, I was watching Disney's The Lion King Musical Show at Marina Bay Sands. The music and the theatrical action were very interesting, awesome, and amazing. On the second day, I went to Universal Studios at Resort World Sentosa. I took many pictures in here.

Have to finish, I'm so happy in here. I'm going to shopping at Lucky Plaza now and then I will go to Merlion Statue. I'm going to stay in Singapore for another one or two days and then I'm off to Bali. I'll write again from there.

With love,

And thank god the weather here has been sunny ever since I got here, so everything went really great.

Oh yeah! I went to the national archaeological museum yesterday! I know you’ve wanted to visit that museum since a long time ago, so I took a lot of pictures for you. And of course I think we needed to go there again with you next time when we have the time. And we should definitely check out the next exhibitions I heard it’s supposed to be really entertaining. I didn’t get the chance to watch the exhibition because it was so crowded there yesterday.

Well, I’ll write to you again soon about the rest of my holiday in Greece later. Because right now we’re getting ready to got to the Balos Beach! I’ve heard that it’s best for it’s white sand, turquoise water and amazing view! We should really go there together next time. So I guess that’s it maybe and I promise I will write again soon. Bye!

Your best friend, Biby

Music :

Nine from eighteen of my classmates prefer to listening to the modern music to raise their spirit. They said that modern music is more famous than traditional music and it’s easy to learn modern music. One from eighteen of my classmates prefers to listening to the traditional music as a proof that she loves Indonesia so much. Five from eighteen of my classmates prefer to listening booth of them while three from eighteen of my classmates didn’t know what they have to prefer.

Six from eighteen of my classmates want to be a musician to enlarge their talents in music. Twelve from eighteen of my classmates didn’t want to be a musician because they thought that they didn’t have any talent in music.

Movie :

Four from eighteen of my classmates said that the most memorable movie they ever watched is Harry Potter because they followed the movie since they were young and the movie is so cool, amazing, and imaginative. Two from eighteen of my classmates said that Laskar Pelangi is the most memorable movie they ever watched because it gaves them some moral values. Well, ten from eighteen of my classmates said that the most memorable movies are National Treasure 2, Dear John, Transformers, The King Speech, Whip it, Ada Apa Dengan Cinta, and Catatan Harian Si Boy.

Five from eighteen of my classmates said that Indonesian movies are better than before especially for comedy movie and it starts to up their level, while eleven from eighteen of my classmates said that Indonesian movies are the worst movies they ever watched especially for horror movie. The movie hasn’t got any meaning and moral value. Then, two from eighteen of my classmates didn’t said their opinion about Indonesian movies.

Indonesian Culture :

Six from eighteen of my classmates want to preserve Indonesian traditional dance like Saman dance from Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Four from eighteeen of my classmates want to preserve Batik with wearing them as a dress, shirt, skirt, etc. Two from eighteen of my classmates want to preserve Indonesian traditional songs like “Rasa Sayange” song from Maluku. Two from eighteen of my classmates want to preserve Indonesian traditional music instruments like gamelan and angklung from West Java. Six from eighteen of my classmates express their pride to the Indonesian culture by love them and use them in every single part of their life. The last six from eighteen of my classmates express their pride to the Indonesian culture by promote them on social network like facebook, twitter, etc

The most surprising aspect of the report are that a large number didn’t want to be a musician (twelve people), didn’t like to watched Indonesian movies (eleven people), and prefer to listening to the modern music than traditional music (nine people). I was also surprised to find out that just one people who prefers to listening to the traditional music.

Will It Be Possible To Live Forever?

Everyone must be wondering, will it be possible to live forever?  Of course not. There are many reasons that can support my answer.

God already set our age. In holy book, god already told us about age and life. We can’t live forever because god already arrange when we will die. So we will definitely die.

We will age. It’s for sure that we will die. When we got old our body can’t resist disease and many factors that can cause death. Even with doctors suggestions and applying healthy lifestyle we cannot live forever.

Doomsday will come. God already arrange when will it come and nobody knows. All living things will die in doomsday and nobody can survive it. So there’s no way people can live forever.

Considering my reasons, there’s no way people can live forever. Eventually all living things will die.

Will there be schools and teachers in the future?

Will there be schools and teachers in the future?
To answer the question above I’ll definitely say no. because we people already know that at this moment of time, technology already became a big part of almost every human’s lives. For example, people already invented E-books. E-books are a device that replaces books with a mini laptop with no keyboard. The purpose of inventing an E-book is for using less paper for books and to safe the trees for human’s future. It has proved that in the future there might be a bookstore where they sells E-books that contains all of school textbook any students will ever needed.
And as for schools? I’d say there won’t be any schools in the future. Because as I said before the technology will rule the world in the future. So student, or shall I say youngsters, because there won’t be any schools in the future so there will be no students left in the world, will study trough the internet. And since the technology will be so accurate, so the computers will teach the youngsters what the needed to learn.
As the conclusion, I’d say that technology will take over the world and there will no schools or teachers or even books left.

Will it be possible to live forever?

We know that everyone definitely want to live forever in this world. They use every way to get a long life so they can live forever in this world.
Doctors say that applying healthy life in a real life is the best choice to get a long life like do the sport activities every morning before go to work or school, sleep well, don’t get stress out, eat more fruits and vegetables, and drink more vitamin supplement syrup and milk. If we applying healthy life in a real life, we can get a healthy long life and maybe we can live forever in this world.
But, in other hand, we know that someday doomsday definitely will come to us and destroy everything in the world. The world will stop spinning around and people would be die. Only God who knows how long is our life, how-where-when we die, and when the doomsday come to us. We can deny it. We can’t live forever in this world.
To conclude, until now, I still don’t know will it be possible to us to live forever. Maybe yes or maybe no. Only God who knows that. I believe that God have an other good plan for us. The best way for us is keep praying, wish God always gives us the best.
